Address review: retention now has a single definition (retainedIds) shared by
the list-refresh sweep and the single-id prune, an already-engaged identity
skips the redundant row mutation, and the ledger documents why Host-asserted
running is recorded before any holder exists while the client-local acceptance
callback requires one.
@yao-pkg/pkg's SEA bootstrap extracts native addons from the VFS into a
per-user cache ($PKG_NATIVE_CACHE_PATH/pkg/<sha256>/) with plain
writeFileSync, so concurrent first starts of the same executable truncate
files another process has already mapped: SIGBUS on Linux, "Library not
loaded" for sharp's libvips on macOS. Extend the existing pnpm patch so the
three write sites go through a same-directory temporary file and
renameSync; a cache path is then either absent or complete, every process
finishes its own copy pass before it loads, and identical content makes
concurrent renames harmless without a lock. Cache location, hash keying,
and per-file comparison are unchanged. The single-exe Agent Note records
the decision and the measured before/after runs.
Closes#4664
The Client Slot catalog serves `cordis-client-runner` closures, which cannot
`require` anything, so the `sidebar.workspaces.session.menu.item` example
now renders a `role="menuitem"` `<button>` and the doc names
`MenuItemButton` as what the shipped rows use rather than what an entry must
render; the README separates the Module Loader lane, which does reach the
primitive through `require`, from the runner lane. The Agent Note and the
contract module doc say the entries read the pin and archive sets through
hooks their own faces inject, that the owner draws no separator, and that
the strip keeps clicks from opening the row. `RowActionToast` gets its
contract sentence and the rename-assembly spec points at the e2e that
exists.
The Session row's action strip stops click propagation itself, so a
`sidebar.workspaces.session.row.action` entry that renders a plain button no
longer opens the row as a side effect; the shipped buttons drop their own
handling. `Menu` decides submenu exclusivity on the list's own bubbles, by
DOM: reaching a top-level row that is not a submenu parent, by pointer or by
focus, closes the open card for data rows and component rows alike, which
the per-row handlers only did for data rows. A group start on the list's
first row draws no hairline.
The first live-fixture e2e case registers the scaffold's cleanup right after
launch, as the file's other cases do. The three pin scenarios the browser
spec lost when the order write moved into `UiWorkspace.pinSession` — newer
saved orders during a pending pin, a Workspace disappearing during one, and
members whose summaries are temporarily missing — return as service cases.
Re-record the session-snapshot README bilingual pairing sidecar, and admit
the source-reference regression fixture with the v4 producer-owned `user`
message source kind.
The fixture plugin's rows join `sidebar.workspaces.session.menu.item` after
the shipped rows, the first one opening the plugin group with
`separatorBefore`, and dismiss the menu through `useMenuOpenState`.
The typert Cordis catalog drops any exported name that two declarations
share, so ui-workspace's `SessionRenameRequest` made the generator remove
Session Controller's request type from the model-facing API catalog. The
row-side pending rename is `SessionRenameTarget`: the Session and the title
the dialog seeds from.
A Session row's "..." menu and its hover buttons become two list slots the
WorkspaceBrowser entry declares, `sidebar.workspaces.session.menu.item` and
`sidebar.workspaces.session.row.action`. The shipped actions register from
apply the way a client plugin does: pin (menu 100, button 200), rename (200),
fork (300), archive (menu 400, button 100). An entry receives only the row
identity, reads the pin and archive sets through Set hooks its own face
injects, decides its own visibility, renders `MenuItemButton` or one icon
button, and dismisses the menu through the slot-level `useMenuOpenState`
hook bound from the row's render occurrence.
Each action's behavior lives in its injected callbacks. `UiWorkspace` gains
`pinSession` and `unpinSession`; the pin write into the saved orders happens
there, through the viewing-store instance the apply creates and hands the
browser's registration as its handle (the ui-layout pattern), reading the
memberships current at completion. The rename dialog and the row-action
notice are `shell.overlay` entries fed by apply-closure observables through
the faces' `hooks`; the archived notice switches the archived filter
directly. WorkspaceBrowser threads no action callbacks, renders no toast,
and hosts no rename dialog; its title double-click raises the same rename
request.
In ui-primitives, `MenuItemButton` is the plain `role="menuitem"` row for
menus whose rows are components: it shares a data row's markup and styling
and needs no shared state, because `Menu` decides the keyboard walk from the
DOM and now runs the post-selection focus return once on the list's click
bubble for every row kind. `Menu` accepts such rows as `children` beside
`items`, which becomes optional together with `onSelect`; `separatorBefore`
lets a row start a group with the same hairline a separator entry draws. The
context-based `MenuAction` goes away with its extension group.
master's session row menu now leads with Pin session and SessionNode
carries pinned/archived, so the slot-action specs and the Web golden take
the row as it is after the rebase.
The cold row's updatedAt is the later of the header's creation time and the cached last prompt; the fork's creation time is wall-clock and can trail the inherited prompt by a millisecond, so the restart test asserts the same maximum instead of the prompt time alone.
A real fork made through sessions.fork is checkpointed into the projection cache, the Context is disposed, and a Host booted over the same storage root serves the fork's title and list metadata from the header alone, as a kind: 'cached' block, without inspecting or opening the log.
The session-controller README, the per-session store JSDoc, and the projcache predecessor-recovery and durable-web-queue-recovery notes described one higher-seq-wins rule and the asOfSeq -1 title hint. They now state that higher-seq-wins applies among Host-sequenced values, that cached list blocks yield to the connected Session's baseline, and that the predecessor title carries its stored row's watermark under kind: 'cached'.
The built-client fixture served newly created Sessions with a control-baseline block as their list projections. Since SessionProjectionHints requires `kind`, the real client's applyListBlock would have hit assertNever on it; the created Session is live on the fixture Host, so its block is sequenced.
The listing identity note describes the `kind` field, rejects routing on the -1 sentinel, and links the projcache predecessor-recovery and projection-owned client state notes; the latter's client merge rules now distinguish Host-sequenced rows from cached list hints.
A `sequenced` list block merges key by key under higher-seq-wins like any Host-computed value, so a delayed control baseline at a lower cut can neither overwrite nor clear a newer live-session list value. Only a `cached` block goes through applyCached and yields to every sequenced write. The projection store's module docs describe the two row kinds.
SessionProjectionHints gains a required `kind`: `sequenced` when the Host's live registry computed the block for an attached Session, `cached` when a header-only listing viewed it from the persisted projection cache. `asOfSeq` stays the producer's own watermark in that space, so the cache read faces report the lowest served row seq again instead of the -1 sentinel. The two fields are independent: `kind` names the sequence space, `asOfSeq` the position in it.
Agent Note for the lifecycle identity read-only face and the client store's cached/sequenced row kinds: mechanism, rejected alternatives, and what stays untouched.
ProjectionValueStore rows are either cached (viewed from the persisted checkpoint by the session list, no comparable seq) or sequenced (computed by the connected Host, seq comparable within the connection). Cached values fill empty keys only; every baseline discards cached rows before seeding, and every frame replaces them regardless of seq, so a connected Session's values always supersede list hints. The list response and api-session/added blocks write cached rows.
The projection cache read-only face (cachedSnapshot, cachedPredecessorTitle) now matches the lifecycle identity a header witnesses (formatVersion, createdAt, cwd, isSeeded) and serves its rows as a cached block with asOfSeq -1. The fold face (hydratePrepared, write, coldSnapshot) keeps the full identity including the inherited cut. The session list and @ completion drop their isSeeded guards, so forked sessions keep their cached title and list metadata across a Host restart; list-children keeps its body fallback.
