Address ds-review-bot thread 3921300999 (PRRT_kwDOS3Pfcs6eyLsz). The synchronous conversion removed a leading system message before its image check, silently discarding image-only, mixed, and nested image content. Reuse assertSupportedImageRoles on the unsplit history, matching the image-aware path without changing text prompt precedence or user-image storage requirements. Regression: all three leading-system image cases failed against 8082f4a950 (expected rejection, received a context). The focused context suite now passes 20 tests, including both conversion paths, no attachment reads on rejection, empty/text leading prompts, later systems, and explicit options.system precedence. Exact src/context.ts coverage is 100% statements, branches, functions, and lines. Updated the paired README limitation and synchronous JSDoc.

DeepSeek Harness is in developer preview and iterating rapidly. THERE WILL BE COMPATIBILITY-BREAKING CHANGES.

Run
Run from npm
Install Node.js, then run:
npx @deepseek-ai/dsh web
The command starts the Web UI at http://127.0.0.1:3080 by default and opens it in the default browser for a local launch. An SSH launch only prints the host URL because the SSH client or editor owns the local forwarded address. Pass --no-open to run the server without opening a browser. See Web UI guide.
Run from source
To run from a repository checkout:
git clone https://github.com/deepseek-ai/deepseek-harness.git
cd deepseek-harness
pnpm install
pnpm run build
pnpm dsh web
pnpm run build prepares the repository artifacts. pnpm dsh web uses those built artifacts without rebuilding.
