Integrate the master tip observed for the final V4 landing preparation on
top of the already merged migration stack. Preserve the V4 writer, flat
message migration, extension policy, catalog validation and historical
recordings while bringing in upstream profile resolution and desktop/UI
changes.
Resolve four generated translation-pairing records from the combined
English/Chinese text. Keep this master checkpoint separate from any
integration fixes and retain all reviewed parent history. Follow-up
validation covers the affected launch/UI paths and migration replay.
Give durable user context its producer-owned source kind instead of a generic plugin wrapper. The V3-to-V4 conversion preserves the frozen rename and collision rules, all own JSON metadata, event coordinates, and historical request-only kinds. Native catalog and JSONL admission retain source validation so unknown attribution can survive without its producer while malformed owned sources are refused.
Use an explicit user-only RequestUserInput for auxiliary LLM prompts that do not own durable message identity. Auto Review and compaction remove their request-only source registrations while retaining prompt content and freezing; provider serializers and projections keep the same wire data, assistant replay isolation, image ordering, and tool correlation. Session writes, Agent delivery, and recorded title requests continue to require identified durable messages.
Bind the saved compatibility policy only to user sources and qualify tmux location attribution without weakening fixed system, model, or tool semantics. Rebuild the current inventory and unpublished V4 acknowledgement on the actual tool-role parent, preserving its rationale and all accepted historical records. The catalog format version records tooling metadata; Session remains V4. Developer-role policy and activation belong to their own feature.
The latest-master Messages adapter, serialization, request-input typing, EpochHeader reservation, and attribution checks pass 103 tests across five files. The retained V3 Messages input-history snapshot passes through the source profile; Host/Client typechecks and all 41 documentation gates pass. The generated comparison records four changed roots and 447 unchanged type fingerprints. Latest-master ARIA changes are retained, with producer source labels applied independently; new Messages fixtures retain their producer names as declared source kinds and use the fixed system-message helper; recorded Session generations are unchanged by this regrouping.

The expand/collapse and wrap toggles' accessible names diverged from their
tooltips, and the replay harness now normalizes clientTimeZone in recorded
sessions; every golden holding the old names or the literal zone refreshes.
Takes the merged slash-command localization (#3557): its zh description
copy replaces this branch's, its contribution description() callback and
HOST_DESCRIPTION_KEYS are superseded by the label/description/icon
contribution face and presentation.ts, and its zh menu golden and
locale-switch test are refreshed for the sectioned menu.
The + button and a typed / open one menu with an Add section (File, Goal,
Plan, Feedback) and a Commands section (Compact, Permission, Model, Export)
in usage order; rows carry a glyph, a localized title and description, and
the command name as an alias where the localized title differs. Built-in
Host rows get their face from the ui-commands dictionaries when the catalog
description is the canonical English text. A menu pick fills the locale's
claim token (/计划 ) while the submission executes the catalog name, and a
typed localized token resolves on Space and Enter in every locale. The File
row is a new action contribution kind that opens the composer's file picker
through the scoped slash/input-pick-files event; the paperclip button is
removed and the + button reads "Add files or run commands".
Master archived three Agent Notes this branch had fact-updated (archived
copies restored to their frozen master content; the pills note now links
the archived path), extended the steer-all placeholder to continuable
children (spec and subagent e2e take master's behavior with this branch's
reworded copy), and dropped the session-sharing sentence from feedback
acks (goldens re-refreshed with the new placeholder).
The A/B winner over the single-line StatsLine: a gauge pill (counts + TPS,
opening the session-stats dialog) and a database pill (billed total +
cache-hit share, opening the exact token-usage dialog), sharing a new
stat-dialog module. StatsLine and its dead locale keys are deleted, the
gauge icon is optically centered, and the composer keeps its 4px clearance
through the data-composer-stats contract. Agent Note added; stale
StatsLine references across implemented notes updated in place.
The ui-conversation.busyEnter setting selected Queue or Steer for plain
Enter only; the running draft's Send button always submitted through the
public InputActions.submit() face, which is fixed to Queue, while labeled
"Send message". A user who chose Steer got Steer from Enter and Queue
from the button beside the same draft with nothing explaining why.
InputBar now resolves the primary click through the same `enter` gesture
and steer-availability predicate as the keyboard path (ordinary Sessions
and continuable children) and submits via ComposerKeyboard.submit(mode).
While that delivery is available the button's tooltip and accessible name
state it ("Queue message" / "Steer message"; 排队发送 / 插话发送), so the
mode is never hidden; idle sessions, one-shot children, and locked
composers keep the plain Send label. The composer bar inject face
publishes the live preference as hooks.busyEnter instead of a resolver
closure, and resolveSubmitMode is a pure function taking the preference
explicitly, so label and delivery derive from one value in one render and
the label follows live Settings changes. The Settings row is retitled
"Send behavior while busy" with a description that names both Enter and
the button; the busyEnter field, its default, and the Host schema are
unchanged.
Tests pin both preferences on the running button for ordinary sessions
and continuable children, the live relabel, the idle Queue path, and the
pure resolver; the settings-chrome ARIA goldens and the live-interactions
running-draft and queue-actions failed goldens carry the new copy. A new
Agent Note owns the decision and reverses the pointer-ignores-preference
clause of the archived 2026-08-20 running-draft note.
The default and hero placeholders drop the ellipsis and name the / commands
and @ references as comma-separated actions; goldens and e2e assertions
refresh with the copy.
The turn tail's exposed meta line collapses into two icon pills — Usage
(database glyph, turn total) and Ran-for (clock glyph, wall time) — each
click-opening a details dialog; the calendar clock trails as plain text.
Cache hit, TPS, and TTFT move dialog-only, and narrow viewports collapse
the pills to bare icons. The TEMPORARY flat variant keeps the whole-line
trigger for the A/B test.
The whole-line meta trigger read as plain text and hid what was clickable.
The Turn-usage trigger is now a data-icon pill (Usage {total} · Cache hit
{percent}%) seated right of the branch action with the action buttons'
hover chrome, so the one interactive element in the tail is visibly a
button; the timing facts (clock, run time, speed, TTFT) return to plain
non-clickable text behind a dot separator. The details dialog keeps the
Turn-usage title and full token buckets, gains a permanent cache-hit row,
and breathes with wider vertical padding. Narrow columns trim the pill
label to an ellipsis instead of widening the chat column. User rows and
turn tails share the recency gate: only the latest row of each kind keeps
its actions visible without hover.
Replace the two-row footer (TurnUsageDisclosure + icon-row clock chrome)
with a single whole-line trigger (clock · run time · turn usage · cache
hit · speed · TTFT) that opens a per-Turn usage dialog. The latest turn
keeps its tail always visible; older turns reveal the whole row on
hover/focus. Turns without usage data keep the plain clock line with
identical spacing.

Candidate rows lead with domain icons instead of localized text
prefixes; pointer and keyboard share one reducer-owned highlight (last
input wins); drillable folder rows reveal a localized Browse-folder +
Tab keycap hint with the library chevron; pending sources render
skeleton bars; the menu spans the composer card. The editable @dir/
text decorates color-only — the domain icon now belongs exclusively to
the settled reference chip. Composer placeholders advertise / and @,
and the zh copy for commands is unified to 指令.
Render reconstructable system prompts at each request-series boundary, preserve series declarations through pre-step wrappers, and keep the presentation and replay snapshots aligned across clients.
