Web and Desktop now share one command pair: start:* launches the artifacts
of a prior complete build and dev:* builds first, then launches. start:web
is new and spells out the same source launch vector as `pnpm dsh web`;
dev:web runs `pnpm run build`, the three rebuild watchers, and `dsh web` in
one terminal, with --skip-build and --no-serve for the previous two-terminal
flow. The launcher gate pins both scripts to the dsh CLI, and a root
Makefile names the same commands as make web|dev-web|desktop|dev-desktop|build.
The dev-web stage supervisor waits for stages the terminal already
interrupted, escalates only survivors, forwards SIGTERM once, and reports a
stage that exits on its own. Signal listeners are persistent because the
tsdown watchers bundle signal-exit, which re-raises a signal when it finds
no other listener.
Give developers one pnpm command to exercise the release migration against their own Session roots. Inventory physical generations so malformed entries remain visible, then reuse JSONL write-open locking, validation, and exclusive successor publication with the full root available for child-catalog evidence. Open existing V4 files read-only and preserve every historical generation.
Report each selected source and outcome, continue after individual failures, repeat all errors at the end, and retain a private temporary report with checkout/runtime details and full causes. A failed run exits nonzero. Explicitly close handles because source-launch await-using lowering inside a loop can retain a previous iteration error. Real-entry regressions cover raw/zstd tool-result conversion, repeated runs, unchanged originals, failure continuation, and unsupported layouts. Document the command in the migration cookbook.
V3 permits external event, source and content identities and additional
request-tool fields. Copying those values into V4 can give an old plugin
named tool a core source identity, turn old tool-addition content into a
registry instruction, or activate formerly ignored deferLoading and delivery
metadata. Rejecting such collisions would instead refuse valid source logs.
Keep historical extensions in the existing extensible JSON representation.
Prefix unknown content and ignorable event tags with plugin:, preserving
all other content fields and opaque event payloads. Prefix external source
identities with plugin:plugin: or plugin:source: so wrapper and direct kinds
cannot collide even when original names already contain a category prefix.
Known first-party mappings remain explicit and unchanged.
Prefix extra request-tool field names and block-start field names with
plugin:, retaining exact values and existing-prefix doubling. Core schema
parameters, arguments, replay state and nested plugin data are not traversed.
Keep future-generation delivery records inactive after header promotion.
Pin the V3 event vocabulary independently of the current writer and provide
an offline verifier against an explicitly selected historical source commit.
Attachment authorization and export inspect declared event content only.
Team checkpoints preserve all own keys of unknown JSON blocks while still
rejecting malformed known content and retired core tool-result blocks.
Exercise physical read/write/reopen, prefix injectivity, own __proto__ keys,
provider opacity and retained source-identity snapshots.
No generic extension block, metadata wrapper or new schema-tooling type is
introduced. V4 type declarations, persistence schema, checkpoint and frozen
V0-V3 codecs remain unchanged. Canonical tool-result lifting and incomplete
child-catalog policy remain separate concerns.

Merge master 0e9385ad8b9e75146f4baec2e731dd961f11c87c, observed when
this final integration step started, into the merged V4 release branch.
Keep the complete upstream history and do not advance to later master
commits during finalization.
Bring the Web trust-domain and relative-route handling, plugin install
cancellation, and npm registry mirror configuration into the common
release baseline. Retain the V4 codecs, producer-source policy,
parent-owned catalogs, and fork/migration behavior from the merged stack.
The merge needs no manual conflict resolution and changes no Session
JSONL inputs, snapshot generations, format packages, or persistence
schema/history files. This checkpoint precedes the separate V4 freeze
and audit fixes so each change keeps its own rationale and validation.
Traversal ordinals and first-owner paths gave shared persistence types
unstable display names. Keep authored names and source locations as metadata,
use structural digests for identity, and render complete kind/form groups
with bounded array labels. Preserve historical rendering and stored graphs.
Record supported source compatibility promises with their property binding,
policy version, discriminator, preservation rule, and qualified kind set.
The extractor and classifier require explicit opt-ins in both compared
schemas; ordinary or unsupported changes retain strict classification.
Policy-bearing graphs use the format-2 fingerprint domain while unannotated
graphs keep their format-1 fingerprints. Runtime owners activate bindings
only with the corresponding reader behavior; this tooling layer activates
none and changes no package source or Session generation.
Provide a read-only before/after review command that groups shared structural
evidence without replacing authoritative compatibility diagnostics. Match
changed alternatives only through unique literal discriminators and retain
ambiguous additions and removals as independent facts.
At the X baseline, all 61 roots and 472 schemas, digests, and source fields
are unchanged. The inventory remains format 1 and removes only 296 synthetic
names. Existing acknowledgement history still matches every root. All 195
focused tooling tests, Host build/full lint, and bilingual pairing pass.
Move `load_workspace_dependencies` and the primary-runtime payload logic out
of `apps/desktop-host` into `@deepseek-ai/dsh-tool-workspace-dependencies`
so profiles other than Desktop can mount the same tool. Desktop keeps its
behavior through the package.
Two additions for carriers that are not Electron applications:
- `root` is optional: without it the payload is validated and used in place
(no copy under the Harness home), which suits read-only container layers.
- `runtime.json` accepts `linux`, and the `node` / `pnpm` components are
optional; the returned paths and the tool output omit what the payload
does not ship.
The `sdk` profile mounts the tool and `@deepseek-ai/dsh-skill-office` when
`DSH_PRIMARY_RUNTIME` names a payload directory (its sibling `office-skills/`
carries the skill resources); both rows stay disabled otherwise. Both
packages join the Python runtime closure.
