* fix(web-search-deepseek): disable thinking for auxiliary search requests
The provider discards the generated text of the auxiliary Messages turn,
so reasoning tokens have no consumer. DeepSeek enables thinking by default,
which adds latency and output tokens to every search.
Fixes#6099.
* feat(web): add opt-in traditional Search and Fetch APIs
* test(web): verify API settings persistence and refresh Session evidence
* fix(web): require an explicit Search API base with its route prefix
* docs(web): document direct Search and Fetch API decisions
* fix(web): keep Messages search default behind the new Web Search API switch
- Rename useTraditionalApi/traditionalBaseURL to useSearchApi/searchApiBaseURL and
label the switch "Use the new Web Search API"; Messages search stays the default.
- Default the Search / Fetch API base to https://api.deepseek.com/v1/tools.
- Authenticate the Search API with an API key only: DeepSeek Account tokens
returned an empty HTTP 404 on /v1/tools/* when probed on 2026-10-16.
- Remove the count setting, which tool-web's maxResults always overrides, and
the undocumented DeepSeek-API-Version header.
- Name the active API's base URL field and the current settings path in
endpoint guidance; re-record the endpoint guidance Session.
- Keep WebFetchResult.statusCode required: DeepSeek Fetch reports HTTP 200 and
drops the page title, so the fetch-metadata widening and its upgrade guide
are removed.
* fix(web): accept account sign-in on the live Search API
The public Search and Fetch routes went live on 2026-10-16 and accept the
DeepSeek Account token, so account-route Sessions send it to the Search API
as they do for Messages search, and the settings copy no longer says account
sign-in does not apply.
Record the live behavior in the README and Agent Note: summaries of
1,000-2,300 characters, an HTTP 500 for an unresolvable Fetch target, and
migration notes for gateways without /v1/tools routes. Test doubles now use
the live response fields and RFC 3339 offsets.
* feat(web): configure Search API result count and send the triggering question
- Add web-search-deepseek.count (1-50, default 10, the service default) and
show it as "Results per search" in Search API mode, where "Max searches per
request" applies only to Messages; a smaller request maxResults still wins.
- Send the initiating Session's latest human prompt as ori_question, with
whitespace collapsed and cut to the API's 128-character limit; blank or
absent prompts omit it, and sendOriginalQuestion: false disables it. The
settings hint states that the question is sent.
- Match the web search double on the request's query field, since
ori_question now carries every query in the prompt.
* fix(client): unify web search endpoint override controls
* feat(web): configure registered search and fetch providers through shared settings
* feat(web): include Exa and Perplexity in provider settings
* test(web): cover provider settings branches and refresh plugin snapshots
* revert(web): drop the provider dropdown, schema-driven form, and Exa/Perplexity settings
Revert aed8c5cb609, d88c47dcd80, and 036a5a337d3. The Web search settings
page returns to the DeepSeek toggle; the DeepSeek Search and Fetch API split
is reintroduced as one plugin in the following commit.
* feat(web): move the DeepSeek Search and Fetch APIs into web-deepseek-api
The new web-deepseek-api plugin registers deepseek-search-api and
deepseek-fetch-api over one credential and API base, and exports the
authentication and redirect-rejecting transport that web-search-deepseek now
reuses for Messages search only. The web service reads searchProvider and
fetchProvider for each operation, so the Web search settings switch selects
both APIs together on save and restores Messages search with local HTTP fetch
when turned off. The switch hint links to the DeepSeek search and fetch guide.
* refactor(client): keep the web search endpoint fields on the shared override controls
Drop the always-visible reset and the inherited-address placeholder from the
Web search page, restoring ui-primitives to its base. Each endpoint field shows
the selected section's effective value and offers Reset to default only for an
override, like every other settings field.
* refactor(web): keep Messages search independent of web-deepseek-api
Restore dsh-web-search-deepseek to its own credential and transport code,
keeping only the disabled-thinking request and the current settings guidance,
so the Messages plugin no longer depends on the Search and Fetch API package.
dsh-web-deepseek-api keeps its transport internal; the regions that repeat the
Messages helpers carry jscpd:ignore markers, with the rationale recorded in the
Search and Fetch API Agent Note.
* refactor(web): keep the web-deepseek-api request type module-private

Move the IMAGE_OFFLOAD_REQUIRED recovery out of llm-retry into the new
@deepseek-ai/dsh-compaction-image-offload package, a sibling of the
tool-result pruner: image offload is compaction in another capacity
dimension. Each replaced node is priced through the seam's compaction/prune
shadow-price protocol before its marked copy lands. llm-retry returns to
master; the base bundle mounts the executor.
Remove the llm-image-offload package and every registration it needed. The
recovery branch lives in dsh-llm-retry, which already sits on the
agent/request-error waterfall: an IMAGE_OFFLOAD_REQUIRED failure advances the
image/offload watermark by the count the adapter names and retries the step
outside the provider retry budget. Drop pre-dispatch planning with it: routes
no longer declare a request-image budget on their model info, and the byte
checks that stay in the DeepSeek and pi-ai adapters are provisional until the
provider reports uncacheable images itself.
Keep the agent loop unchanged: the new @deepseek-ai/dsh-llm-image-offload
plugin plans the image/offload watermark on agent/pre-step from the routed
model's budget and advances it on agent/request-error when an adapter fails
with IMAGE_OFFLOAD_REQUIRED, returning the retry action the loop already
honours. Drop PreparedLlmCall.imageRequest and its validation, the planner
wrapper, the replay adapter's imageRequestMaxBytes option, and the duplicate
ACP snapshot scenario; share the exact-byte overflow count between the
DeepSeek and pi-ai adapters through requiredImageOffload(). The SDK image
snapshot replays an authored IMAGE_OFFLOAD_REQUIRED attempt instead of a
replay-only budget.
Record sdk-minimal as the narrow repository-owned exception to base-first profile composition: callers still launch only dsh and cannot provide an arbitrary Cordis tree, while the shipped bundle may own a complete explicit roster. Cross-link the launcher, profile-bundle, Python-runtime, minimal-agent, snapshot, and telemetry decisions; the supersession audit keeps each older note active because its remaining rationale is independent.
Update the CLI, architecture, Python tutorial/reference, example, runtime-wheel reference, and bundle documentation. The docs distinguish the full sdk profile from sdk-minimal, explain explicit-home/plugin/patch customization, state the minimal permission and persistence choices, and retain the separately packaged web profile and frontend assets for direct dsh use.
Correct dsh-base descriptions to cover base-backed profiles, make SDK startup configuration visible in the generated config catalog, add sdk-minimal to the module graph, and regenerate the base-composition graph. English and Chinese pairs are re-recorded at the exact reviewed contents.
Cache README (EN/ZH): the medium is the session_projcache domain in
per-record layout (one version-stamped document per session under the
json backend root), reads are synchronous from the domain's in-memory
tables, and the storage stack rides in base. storage-json README
documents both layouts and their contracts; web-app README notes that
storage and the projection cache live in the shared base. Regenerated:
session-projection subsystem catalog (sync cachedSnapshot, domain
medium), config-catalog (Config.root gone), module-graph (cache now
depends on storage-domain, not session-persistence), cli composition
(storage rows in base), and the projection-cache Agent Note — which now
records the file-root revision and its revert as rejected alternatives.
- subsystem docs: drop the removed persist flag from the ProjectionDefinition
type block (both languages).
- config-catalog regenerated (cache requires sessionProjections/sessions,
config gains root) and the zh side synced by hand; doc graphs regenerated.
- Agent Notes: the per-session cache note records the owned root tree and
no-persistence design; the storage-root proposal's link to it is corrected
(two levels up).
The Codex and Claude Code subagent providers were production dependencies of
@deepseek-ai/dsh-base and mounted by its Cordis composition, so every install of
the base bundle carried two providers that only some products want.
Drop both from the base bundle's dependencies and composition. The examples keep
them as explicit dependencies, base's tests lock their absence, and the product
preset e2e mounts the providers it needs explicitly.
Cherry-picked from #2387 (two commits squashed into one).
Entry \disabled\ interpolation makes the launcher's separate platform layer
unnecessary: the base bundle's cordis.patch.yml now gates both shell stacks
on its own rows — bash-sandbox/tool-bash disable on win32, and their twins
pwsh-sandbox/tool-pwsh mount only there with the inverted expression — so
exactly one shell stack mounts per host from one shared patch file.
windows.cordis.patch.yml and the launcher's windows-shell.ts injection (boot,
live recomposition, config dumps) are deleted, with the workspace-constraints
entry and the dsh-base exports/files entries following. The windows-shell spec
pins the effective per-platform roster through the real bundle layers, and
base.spec pins the four symmetric gates. The superseded active notes are
updated and cross-linked; the loader note records the fold itself.
Machine-produced by `pnpm run rescope-vendor --apply` plus the regeneration it
prints: `pnpm install` for the lockfile, `pnpm run gen-third-party-notices`,
`verify-translation-pairing --write` for the touched bilingual pairs,
`gen-doc-graphs`, and one typert snapshot whose ids embed character offsets.
`pnpm run rescope-vendor --check` verifies the result.
Renames nine vendored packages (cordis, cosmokit, schemastery and the six
@cordisjs plugins) and every reference that resolves them: manifest names and
dependency keys, module specifiers including declare-module merges, cordis.yml
plugin names, tsconfig paths, every Markdown fence, and `docs/` prose.
Directory names, upstream versions, and dependency ranges are unchanged, so
vendor/README.md still reads as an upstream snapshot; its manifest table gains
an upstream-name column so THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES keeps MIT attribution pointed
at each fork's origin.
The tutorial tier follows the rename end to end: its yaml fences named plugins
the Loader can no longer resolve, its `ts ignore-check` fences disagreed with
the compiled fences beside them, and its prose quoted both. The contracts that
told readers to keep upstream names — the root convention and the vendoring
cookbook's tree comment and manifest invariant — now say to rescope instead.
Two rules read `@deepseek-ai/` as "another workspace plugin": the client bundle
purity gate now names the vendored libraries a browser bundle inlines, and the
files where a bare `cordis` is an agent-preset id keep that product data.
